Many years ago a 14 year old girl was suffering from a severe skin disease. She was completely covered with scales and secondary bleeding. Doctors could do nothing for her and had never seen anything like it. Her mother approached Dr. John R. Christopher, pleading with him to help her daughter, who was now suicidal and had dropped out of school. Dr. Christopher had a brilliant flash of inspiration and told the woman to write down a healing formula of herbs that came to him on the spot. (Dr. Christopher was always a very inspired herbalist!)

The grateful mother made the formula with the herbs, gave it to her daughter, and just 3 days later, all the scales had dropped off, her skin had turned pink and was already beginning to heal. After six months of using this formula, detoxifying her system, cleansing her bloodstream, and changing her diet, she was totally healthy, back in school, and the happiest she’d ever been in her life.

What was that miraculous formula that had helped this girl regain her health? Today the formula is called Dr. Christopher’s Complete Tissue and Bone Formula, (previously called BF&C Formula for bone, flesh, and cartilage) and it is made up of a synergistic combination of  white oak bark, lungwort, slippery elm bark, marshmallow root, mullein leaf, black walnut leaf, gravel root, wormwood,  plantain leaf, lobelia, skullcap, and aloe vera gel powder.  (The bulk formula also has comfrey in it).

Together these herbs work very effectively together to aid the body’s natural healing processes by feeding the healing faculties so the body can rebuild itself at a much faster rate. True to its name, it is the complete healing formula for bones, flesh, and cartilage.

If you were to sustain a serious injury in a disaster or collapse scenario, this is the stuff you would want to have on hand!

Thousands of people have experienced their own miracles because of this formula since its creation over 60 years ago. I personally have read accounts of amazing and complete recoveries after cut off fingers, crushed pelvises, curvature of the spine, stiff necks, pulled muscles, polio, MS, muscular dystrophy, arthritis, bone spurs, cancer of the spine, broken bones, torn off knee caps, paralyzation due to Spina Bifida, degenerative arthritis, and many more stories.

How to Handle Broken Bones in a Disaster Scenario

I want to share with you a holistic program specifically for broken bones since many people are not aware of the thousands of Complete Tissue and Bone success stories out there. Will one of them be yours?

First, have a doctor set the broken bone and put a cast or splint on it as needed.

Then make Dr. Christopher’s Complete Tissue and Bone Formula a huge part of your day. It’s available in capsules, massage oil, ointment, syrup, in bulk, and more!  Believe me when I tell you that you will want to use as many forms as possible daily!  Drink the tea or syrup and take the capsules 3 times a day, add the powder to smoothies, apply the fomentation (compress) to the break, and liberally rub on the massage oil and ointment!  If you will be wearing a cast, be sure to apply these before the cast is fitted.

Take 2 capsules of Dr. Christopher’s Herbal Calcium Formula with every cup of Complete Tissue and Bone tea you drink. This formula will help supply the organic calcium the bones, nerves, and arteries need for total healing. It’s comprised of horsetail, comfrey, oat straw, and lobelia. This is also available in bulk and called Dr. Christopher’s Calc Tea.

For pain relief, the Complete Tissue and Bone Formula is a great regulator. You can use your body’s own pain signal as a measure of how much to take. Start with 6-8 capsules every 2 hours until the pain subsides for at least 2-3 days. At that point, try to wait 3 hours, and if at 2 ½ hours the pain returns, that is the body telling you it needs the nutrition more often so you should go back to every 2 hours. Dr. Christopher’s Cayenne Heat Ointment or PanAway essential oil are also fantastic choices for natural pain relief.  A bonus with PanAway oil is that it has wintergreen oil in it, which is both a pain reliever and bone healer.  Apply the PanAway on site neat (straight) or diluted 50/50 in organic coconut or olive oil.

If the site of the break is inaccessible, look at a good foot reflexology chart and apply PanAway on the reflex area of the foot that corresponds with the area of the break.  If the break is on the foot itself, look at a hand reflexology chart and apply the oil to the reflex on the hand.

Other things that will help with a speedy healing are raw proteolytic enzymes (Essentialzymes-4 are a good choice), lots of vitamin D from the sun (or Vitamin D3 serum in winter), homeopathic arnica, following a diet of whole grains, nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables. Stay away from processed foods like refined sugars, flours, and dairy that will acidify the blood and damper the body’s healing faculties. In addition, don’t use steroids since they encourage yeast infections and dangerous adrenal insufficiency, and are counter- productive to the healing process.

Use lavender oil for any lacerations or flesh wounds associated with the break.

After applying this program, you will probably notice that you will lose some structural support in the injured area. This is normal as the cartilage is forming and hardening into bone, so keep up the program so it will heal completely. Soon you’ll be up and running good as new and you won’t even be able to tell that anything had broken!

While none of us ever wishes to break a bone or have a severe accident, isn’t it nice to know what you can do yourself to help your body heal from such physical trauma, especially in a disaster scenario? I find it fascinating and comforting to see the many ways that nature can heal us so effectively and I love sharing this knowledge so that we can all ultimately benefit.

Editor’s Note:

In the event that no medical help is available, you may be in a position to have to set and splint a broken bone yourself.  According to the Doom and Bloom Survival Medicine Handbook, if the bone doesn’t appear deformed or bent you can probably go ahead and make a splint to keep the area immobilized.  You may use sticks and bandanas or t-shirts or a pillow wrapped around the limb secured with duct tape.  Bones take 6-8 weeks to heal (or possibly less if you use the right herbs and essential oils).  For more information on setting a broken bone, see the Doom and Bloom Survival Medicine Handbook.
