Kill The Pain — Not Your Liver and Kidneys!

back pain Natural Pain Relief Better Than Pharmaceuticals?

Statistics show that over one half of Americans deal with chronic or recurring pain of some kind.

Back aches, knee problems, headaches including migraines, shoulder pain, and leg pain top the list.  Whether the pain is due to an injury or to a chronic problem such as arthritis, or even just a run-of-the-mill exercise routine, pain ranges from being a mere nuisance to completely debilitating.

Societies have sought pain remedies throughout the ages, and today, pharmaceutical pain remedies are the most popular choice for people suffering pain.

Take a look at the insert for any prescription (and even over-the-counter) pain killer, however, and you might think twice about popping a pill.

A Few Points About Pharmaceutical Pain Killers –

Everyone Uses Them

  • Pain killers represent 36% of the top 50 prescribed drugs in America.
  • Over 2 million Americans are prescribed narcotic pain killers each year.

They Are Unsafe

  • In the year 2000, 43% of all ER admissions for drug overdoses were due to prescription drugs.
  • Tylenol (acetaminophen) is not only one of the least-effective pain killers, but it considered by many to be the most toxic pain killer on the market.  It is the number one cause of acute liver failure in the U.S., and among drugs, is a top contributor to deaths each year.
  • A lifetime dose of Tylenol of 500 g (1,000 500 mg pills, or 3 tablets per day for one year) increases the risk of kidney failure by 3.3 times.
  • In 2007, half of all deaths due to poisoning are attributed to Tylenol.  That year, Poison Control Centers around the nation reported 57,325 calls due to Tylenol and 34,953 calls involving Tylenol combined with another drug.  About half of these Tylenol poisonings were non-intentional.
  • Besides liver and kidney failure, and the risk of addiction, other potential side effects from over-the-counter and prescription pain killers include:  asthma, stomach irritation, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, heart attack, and stroke (among many others).

Clearly, the decision to use any pharmaceutical pain killer, even Tylenol,  should be approached with great care, weighing the potential risks and benefits of taking the drug.

Testimonials –

“My dad had carpal tunnel in both wrists. He had surgery on one. It was so painful he did not want to go for the other. He has been using PanAway on it whenever he has pain. He is thankful there is something that he can do besides more surgery. He also uses PanAway for arthritis in his knees, feet and shoulder. He is a true believer in the oils.”

- Debbie M., WI

“Several months ago I injured my sacral iliac joint which caused severe pain standing, sitting, walking and lying down. I went thru 4 weeks of Physical therapy 3x per week to heal it. Just recently while vacuuming, I reinjured the same spot, and decided to try PanAway every 2 hours and using a cold compress in between treatments. It felt better after the 1st treatment and now 3 days later I have no pain. “

– Wendy S., NY

“My daughter injured her knee when she was raking leaves. She thought that she had dislocated the knee and went for physiotherapy with very slow results and she continued to be in pain. I sent her a bottle of PanAway to use and she told me that the pain subsided to almost nothing and she was able to walk again without having to hobble. She credits PanAway for helping her get back to almost normal in a very short period of time.”
