What harm could be caused by the prick of a needle?
Are Vaccines Safe & Effective?
Talk to a group of parents or healthcare providers and bring up vaccines, and you’re likely to encounter some strong opinions. Can vaccines cause health problems? Are they toxic, at least to some people? If they’re toxic to some people, how do you know if any given vaccine will be toxic to you or your child? Are some vaccines more toxic and cause more problems than others? And lastly, do the vaccines even work?
I’ll leave most of those questions for another time. The truth is that I haven’t personally browsed through all of the studies on the various vaccines and until I do, I can’t say I have the full picture. But one thing I am definitely qualified to talk about is my personal experience with vaccines. And because vaccine manufacturers are required to disclose the ingredients in the various vaccines, I can share what some of those potentially troublesome ingredients are.
My Experience with Vaccines
I was born in 1975 and as a child and teen, I had all the shots recommended by the CDC. Here is the recommended vaccination schedule from 1974 that I would have received as a child –
1974 Vaccination Schedule
2 months: DTP, TOPV (trivalent oral polio virus)
4 months: DTP, TOPV
6 months: DTP, TOPV
1 year: Measles, TB test
1-12 years: Rubella, Mumps
1 1/2 years: DTP, TOPV
4-6 years: DTP, TOPV
As far as I am aware, I had no immediate negative reaction to any of these shots. Except to a DTP booster given to me at age 15 when I stepped on an oyster shell and had a deep cut to my foot. Within a day or so of getting the shot in my left tricep, my arm swelled up and was hot and painful. This lasted for 2 weeks or so. And as it turned out, I later experienced muscle weakness and a loss of mobility and flexibility to that arm and shoulder. Many of those effects continue to this day.
When I was 22 I had a whole round of vaccinations before leaving on an 18-month mission to Russia that didn’t go over so well. I received the first round of shots for Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B as well as shots for Typhoid, a DT booster, and another dose of the oral polio vaccine all in one day within a 3 minute period. While the last shot was administered, I remember that a wave of horror went through my body at a visceral level and I nearly passed out. It’s important to note that I had no fear of needles, there was practically no physical pain involved in the shots, and I had a high opinion of vaccines at the time. In the two days or so afterwards, I was sick in bed with a flu-like illness.
I never thought of the vaccines again until a couple of years later when I was dealing with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and was looking for answers. I had two cousins with the illness, one of whom got sick immediately after getting a flu shot in college. I remembered that I’d had a roommate my freshman year in college who had fallen ill with Rheumatoid Arthritis after vaccinations when she was a child.
**Note** I am not suggesting that I believe vaccines cause these or other illnesses. But from my research and experience, it appears that they can contribute to a toxic load in the body. In some cases, the toxic load from vaccines appears to be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
Toxins in Vaccines
No matter what anyone says, it is an irrefutable fact that toxic and cancer-causing ingredients are used as preservatives and adjuvants (immune-stimulating agents) in vaccines. This is a topic of great contention among health care professionals, concerned parents, and individuals who claim to have suffered injury from vaccines.
While many are convinced that most if not all vaccines should be avoided because of these toxins as well as potential harm from the viruses and bacteria, others including public health bodies like the CDC continue to tout the alleged benefits of vaccines. The CDC has aggressively promoted everything from the chicken pox vaccine, Gardasil, the flu shot, and the H1N1 vaccine that was supposed to save the world from almost certain death but caused thousands of documented negative side effects, including permanent injury and death.
Here are a few common vaccine additives and their side effects as reported by Natural News in April 2012:
• “Bovine cow serum: Extracted from cow skin. When injected causes connective tissue disorders, arthritis and lupus; also shortness of breath, low blood pressure, chest pain and skin reactions.
• Sorbitol: Synthetic sweetener which metabolizes very slowly and aggravates IBS and gastrointestinal issues.
• Gelatin: Derived from the collagen inside animals’ skin and bones. Injecting gelatin poses the risk of infection from synthetic growth hormones and BSE infectivity (mad cow disease).
• Sodium chloride: Raises blood pressure and inhibits muscle contraction and growth.
• Egg protein: Vaccines are prepared in eggs (certainly not organic). May contain growth hormones, antibiotics, and salmonella bacteria.
• Thimerosal: A neurotoxic mercury which causes autism: There are 25 mcg in one average flu vaccine, and the EPA safety limit is 5 micrograms, so children who are vaccinated simultaneously with multiple* vaccines receive over 10 times the safety limit of mercury in one day.
• Human albumin: The protein portion of blood from pooled human venous plasma; when injected causes fever, chills, hives, rash, headache, nausea, breathing difficulty, and rapid heart rate. Injecting “pooled blood” can result in a loss of body cell mass and cause immunodeficiency virus infection, or contain SV40, AIDS, cancer or Hepatitis B from drug addicts.
• Formaldehyde: Highly carcinogenic fluid used to embalm corpses. Ranked one of the most hazardous compounds to human health; can cause liver damage, gastrointestinal issues, reproductive deformation, respiratory distress and cancer. Plus, formaldehyde has been known to fail to deactivate the virus the vaccine is intended to cure, thus enabling a live virus to enter your blood and infect your system.
• Phenoxyethanol: A glycol ether/chemical; highly toxic to the nervous system, kidneys, and liver. The FDA warns ‘can cause shut down of the central nervous system (CNS), vomiting and contact dermatitis’ in cosmetics; imagine when injected into your blood.
• Aluminum phosphate: Greatly increases toxicity of mercury, so caution about minimum mercury tolerance is therefore severely underestimated. CDC scientists and all doctors are well aware of this.
• MSG(monosodium glutamate): When injected becomes a neurotoxin, causing CNS disorders and brain damage in children”. (Natural News)
Solutions
If you are concerned about these toxic substances in vaccines, what can you do to protect yourself from them?
First, you can avoid or limit the vaccines you and your children receive. Do your own research before embarking on such a path. Don’t trust anybody else to tell you to “trust them” on this one. It will take time and effort. You should check in with your heart and your higher power as well when deciding whether or not to receive any given vaccine. The choices you make could have enormous repercussions.
Second, if you or your children have ever received vaccines, you can do your best to detoxify from the vaccines. Besides the normal recommendations (a healthy diet, plenty of water, adequate exercise and sleep as well as a positive attitude), there are two other things I am aware of to help. Consider including plenty of foods with fresh cilantro in your diet. Cilantro is a natural heavy metal chelator and may help your body detoxify from mercury or aluminum. Here is a fantastic recipe for cilantro pesto that can be eaten with pasta, on a pizza, or with veggies and crackers:
Cilantro Pesto
1 clove of garlic
1/2 c. of almonds, cashews, or pine nuts
1 c. of packed, fresh cilantro
2 Tbsp. of lemon juice
6 Tbsp. of olive oil
Parmesan cheese may also be added. Blend in a food processor or blender until it receives the desired texture.
The other thing I recommend is the Vaccin-Tox homeopathic tincture . This product is designed to help the body detoxify from all the different potentially toxic elements of vaccines. When I used it a few years ago, I noticed a warmth and tingling in my left tricep where that tetanus shot had caused problems 20 years before! My homeopathic doctor recommends that people take 20 drops two times daily for at least a couple of weeks to help the body clear toxins from vaccines.

The issue of detoxifying from vaccines is one of huge importance, given the rising rates of people claiming to be injured by vaccines. From autism to ADD/ADHD, from autoimmune illness to neurological problems, more and more people appear to have fallen ill in the immediate aftermath of vaccines. How many more are being sickened by vaccines more slowly without their knowledge?
In 1974 a baby born in America could expect to receive 13 doses of 7 vaccines. Today in 2012 the CDC now recommends 35 doses of 14 vaccines to be administered by age 6, some of which are administered at birth when the immune system is almost completely undeveloped. CDC recommendations includes a yearly flu shot, which research shows to be no more effective in preventing flu in children under 2 than a placebo and is effective for only about 1 out of 100 people.
The list of concerns about vaccines keeps piling up. Is it worth it to keep injecting ourselves and our children with so many of these toxic compounds?
